GATE / JAM photo & signature — exact size, ready to upload
GATE publishes the most precise spec of any exam: photo 200×260 to 530×690 px with aspect ratio 0.66–0.89, face 60–70% of the frame, 5–600 KB; signature 250×80 to 580×180 px with a 1:2.75–3.75 ratio, 3–300 KB. ExamPic picks sizes inside those ranges so the ratio check passes.
What the GATE / JAM portal checks
- Photo JPEG 200×260 – 530×690 px, aspect ratio 0.66–0.89, face 60–70%, white background, 5–600 KB
- Signature JPEG 250×80 – 580×180 px, height:width 1:2.75 to 1:3.75, signature covers 70–80% of the box, 3–300 KB
- Aspect ratio is validated, not just KB — a square crop fails

Sizes on this page follow the official specification published by the conducting body.
How to do it
- Pick the tab for the file you need — the size and KB window are set for you.
- Select the image from your phone. For photos, a plain white wall behind you; for signatures, thumbs and declarations, white paper in daylight.
- Leave Clean on so the paper turns pure white and the ink stays dark.
- Press Make it. The badge turns green when the file is inside the window. Download, then use the "Next" links for the other files.
Questions
Why 480 × 640?
Ratio 0.75 sits safely inside 0.66–0.89 and the size sits inside the allowed pixel range.
My signature box has lots of white space.
Crop tighter before uploading — GATE wants the signature to fill 70–80% of the box. The clean option also trims empty margins.
