NEET UG photo & signature — exact size, ready to upload
NTA wants two photos (passport and postcard size), both with your name and the date of the photo printed under the face, a signature in running hand and both thumb impressions — each inside its own KB window. ExamPic prints the name and date strip for you and lands every file in range.
What the NEET UG portal checks
- Photo: JPG, 10–200 KB, white background, 80% of the frame is the face including ears, taken on or after 1 January of the exam year
- Name and date must be printed below the photograph, inside the image — the portal error is "Name and date must be written below the photograph"
- Postcard photo: 4 × 6 inch (1200 × 1800 px at 300 DPI), same rules, also 10–200 KB
- Signature: JPG 4–30 KB, running hand, black ink, no capital letters, no initials
- Left and right thumb impressions: JPG 10–200 KB, blue or black ink pad, no smudge
- Category / PwD / Class 10 certificates: PDF 50–300 KB (use Compress PDF to KB)
Sizes on this page follow the official specification published by the conducting body.
How to do it
- Pick the tab for the file you need — the size and KB window are set for you.
- Select the image from your phone. For photos, a plain white wall behind you; for signatures, thumbs and declarations, white paper in daylight.
- Type your name and the date of the photo — ExamPic prints them under the face, inside the image.
- Press Make it. The badge turns green when the file is inside the window. Download, then use the "Next" links for the other files.
Questions
I already uploaded a photo without name and date — is the form rejected?
Fix it in the correction window. NTA opens one after registration closes; upload the ExamPic version with the strip then.
What date do I print?
The date the photo was taken. NTA asks for a photo taken on or after 1 January of the exam year, so a recent date is safest.
Why two photos?
The passport size goes on the admit card; the postcard size is pasted on the attendance sheet at the centre. Both must match.
Does ExamPic remove the background?
No — take the photo against a plain white wall. Background removal needs a server and ExamPic runs entirely on your phone.
